Aha! Looks like Clara's knitting, but it's mine! Even though it has cables and a lace pattern. My knitting skills have taken a big leap forward, I can tell. Because I actually understand a little bit about what's going on in this pattern.
It's a cowl and I'm knitting it in the round, out of a silvery fawn-colored yarn that's half silk and half mohair. And I haven't ruined it yet, even though Clara's gone back to school.
Beautiful. This inspires me to leave the land of knitting dishcloths and make something more challenging!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed! It's looking good - that yarn must be very lovely.
ReplyDeleteAnna - good going!

That is gorgeous. I'm a crochet girl myself as I just can't seem to keep yarn on knitting needles. I'm not sure what my deal is, but I got frustrated every time I dropped stitches. Are wooden needles less prone to this ailment? So, for now it's the handy crochet hook until I find some courage to give knitting another go.
ReplyDeleteGreat pattern.........sounds like you miss Clara.
