Seams

Clara's sweater is ready to be sewn together. I've never sewn any seams before and am greatly looking forward to turning this stack of flat pieces into a shaped garment. My favorite part of any project is mastering something new, as long as it's not too hard!

Note the luscious Debbie Bliss Simply Baby book demonstrating seaming techniques: Christmas present!

My mother is an accomplished knitter and is teaching our Dreamer to knit with a 'funky chunky' scarf project kit she received for Christmas. I couldn't help but pick it up and knit a few rows - there is something so wonderful about knitting!
I remember Mom hated sewing the seams after completing a knitting project and often enlisted my help. It always went better if we blocked each piece to precise dimentions and pressed it with a dampened linen napkin first. Happy seaming!

Wow, the sweater is done (knitting-wise at least). Congratulations!! I'm sure it will be gorgeous all stitched together.
