On Felix's Mind

I never have to wonder what's on Felix's mind; I just check his bedside reading . . .

That's great! You know, I was just thinking today that we know a lot about Giles' interests because we see the evidence all the time...and are very grateful for it! But I was thinking that we don't hear as much about Felix's. And then tonight to see that picture--well, that was perfect timing!

Since my boys are young, I'm still in the guessing stage of wondering what their special interests and abilities will be. So far, my 5 year-old loves chess...and my 2 year-old loves to make people laugh. It will be so interesting to see their personalities and interests continue to unfold in the years ahead!

Felix does indeed own a cockatiel. He--Felix--is spending the weekend with his grandmother and I know they are going to the bird store to check out some bigger cages. Felix is a student of parrot psychology (yes, I'm not joking), and is constantly tweaking Henry's environment. So fun to watch!

I purchased a magazine tonight called 100 decorating ideas for under 10$ or maybe it was 100$ but I think it was 10. And it had some bird decorating ideas and I of course right away thought of Felix.

Anna...I just finished reading every post in your blog...

The reading was so pleasurable and I must declare you are a Proverbs 31 woman.

Although I am a wife of 40 years and my children are grown (they are about your age), you inspire me!

Seeing the photographs of your home and family and hearing about your lives makes me miss our east TN home so much....(we moved to the Nashville area 2 years ago due to my husband's employer downsizing)...oh how I wish I had trees, and mountains, and birds and such again...hopefully we will return soon, in the Lord's time, to east TN...I'm guessing you live either in the north GA mountains, in the Asheville NC/Boone/Blowing Rock region, or east TN! (We've lived in/near all the aforementioned.)

Anyway...dear young woman, you and your family are a blessing! You can be sure I'll be reading your blog daily, commenting when apropos.

Anna,
I have just come across a website where they have radio shows from the 20's-50's that you can listen over the internet I thought you and your family might enjoy them, since you are passionate about this era and limit tv time (we do too)the website http://www.radiolovers.com
