Beautyberry and Carnations

I had a few stems of carnations left from last week's grocery store purchase--a luscious perfect match with the stems of beautyberry I picked behind the house.

My Mom just put some beautyberry in this summer and it is beautiful...as its name suggests.
Isn't God great to have given us so much color in the world? So much variety!

I love Beautyberry - so beautiful with the carnations. I might have to sneak over to my dear little mother's house and help myself to some Beautyberry! ~Adrienne~

I've never seen beautyberry before - how lovely!
I dreamed I met you in person last night. You are, believe it or not, a lovely inspiration and quiet mentor to me, a young wife and mother, learning to make homemaking an art.
Thank you!!!

This is a little off topic... I noticed that you grind your own wheat to make bread. When you list flour in your other recipes is it freshly ground too? I'm just wondering about the conversion. I only use fresh ground. Thanks.

Thank you, Trina, for your lovely comment!

Emily, unless I specify whole wheat (which is always fresh-ground), then I am using unbleached white flour from the store. Feel free to experiment though!
