Daisy Models a Smock
Daisy agreed to model a smock I made yesterday. Usually I pin her down and put clothes on her, then Giles sneaks up with a camera and takes a picture through a crack in the door. Not sure why she cooperated this time. Oh, that's right. I bribed her with four doughnut holes.
I have made several of these in different delicious fabrics--some vintage, some modern--from a vintage pattern.
I'll be putting some in the shop towards the end of the week.
Thank you, Daisy. You can go strip now.

Anna she looks so cute. That little pinnie/smock is just the same as I make for my little dolls.
That is so cute!! How on earth do you find time for all of this loveliness?
Very sweet. Please thank Daisy for her cooperation.
And daffodils!
We still have 18 inches of snow on the ground with a promise of 20 below zero Friday night!
Daisy looks so very cute! And the little apron is delightful! They are sure to fly off your shop shelves.
I love these!!!! And gosh she looks like she has gotten taller! I noticed the more my 5 year old gets taller the more the babyish look seems to diminish, I want to keep her little! I love the smocks, I cannot wait to see them in the shop!

Very cute!
Aw she is so cute! I love the smock! Please thank Daisy for her cooperation!
She looks so adorable in her little smock. I think my daughter is about the same age (not quite five) and there's no way she would pose for photos without bribery either. (Laughing picturing your son photographing through a crack in the door...)
That child is gorgeous. Knobby little knees and all. And you know always have to pay your models. lol! I am still enjoying wash day. God Bless, Patty
She's so darn cute! I'm glad to find out mine isn't the only daughter that walks around (pretty much) naked all day!
Well worth the four donut holes!
I'm sitting here smiling as I recall a certain young lady in this household that also detested wearing clothes the first 4 years of her life!
Daisy is beautiful. I love her hair! Very classy.
The smocks you make are adorable, too.
Happy sewing!
Oh, that is very funny, Anna! Thank you for brightening our day!
What are you going to do for photos for your blog when Giles leaves??? Perhaps one of your other children will pick up the camera once 'the master' leaves. That's what happened at our house - my sisters blossomed in the sewing area as soon as my shadow was out of the sewing room.
Her eyes are as round, black and shiny as the buttons on her smock.
extra cute!

So sweet. You can see the question in her eyes in that first picture..."Am I doing this right?"

Excellent model.

Too cute!
oh my goodness, oodles of cuteness...the smock included.
i'm loving being a shadow to your sewing projects, Anna. You inspire me.
Blessings,

p.s. our daffodils are blooming. soft buttery yellow french fringed daffodils. beautiful.
Ah yes, doughnut holes can always do the trick. :-D Thank you very much sweet Daisy for posing and letting Giles take such lovely photos. :-) The little smockie (I always call them smockies instead of smocks) is so cute! Too bad you couldn't have found daisies for dear Daisy to hold. :-D Though daffodils in my opinnion are prettier than daisies. Daisy is very lucky to have such a lovely mommy who can make such lovely things. ;-)
Ca-yute!!!!
Goodness - incredibly sweet! My son just walked by and said, 'Who is that Mama - she's a sweet little girl, isn't she?' He's 7, and knows these things, you know!
Thanks for your inspiring pics of Clara's dress & Daisy's smock! You do fine work. I too, am "sewing like the wind" (from Three Amigos)
after caring for a pregnant friend on bedrest.
Enjoy being "back in the saddle"

Precious, just precious! And the smock is really cute, too.
What a cutie!
How precious! And how sweet her profile is.
Doughnut holes...hehe! I love this! The wideness of the straps on the back make it! The fabric choice and trim are perfection!
O.K. Where can I get the pattern? Please, pretty, please, share the info about the fabric, too.

Ohh! I want one of these for my 4 year old. They are adorable and so practical.
