Afternoon Cider
More often than not, these afternoons, I make a pot of something hot to drink and sometimes even a tray with a bite on it, and we all sit down together around 4:00 and enjoy our snack.
Yesterday was spiced cider poured out for the kids--one tiny, diluted serving for Daisy in her special two-handled Charlotte tea cup, and *four* large servings for my *four* big kids gathered around the table.

You must be overjoyed to have Giles home!! How wonderful! :o)
Welcome home Giles! I hope your first semester was wonderful. I missed your photos:)
It's good to see Giles's photography gracing your pages once again, not that yours was ever bad. It's just nice to have him back for a while.
Beautiful picture! Giles is back. You do wonderfully too, Anna. But Giles' touch is seen immediately.

Welcome home, Giles!
mmmmm I love cider! how fun to have the whole family together again. :)
Welcome home Giles! I noticed the "GPhotos" in the corner of the pic right away! :-) While he was gonna - "Anna"'s and "the Composer"'s pictures made it very obvious that Giles inherited his talent from Mom and Dad. :-)
Aw, what a wonderful way to spend time together. It's good to see Giles photo's once again. I'm sure you are all glad to see him.
Welcome home Giles!
It's good to see Giles back at the camera again! Your photos are beautiful too, Anna, but I know you are glad to have the big guy back. Have a blessed Thanksgiving.
What a neat photo. Is it just me, but it looks like the pot and cups are hanging off the wall. It's like an optical illusion. Great photo Giles!
Looks like we're all going to enjoy having Giles home....none as much as you though Anna, I'm sure!
I don't suppose there is a post in the near future for things like hot cider recipes? Days like today it would go down well here too, with all the cold rainy, blustery weather we've been having. November & December are notoriously unsettled despite the promise of summer around the corner.
A perfect picture for a family break. Inspiring once again. The warm cider is paving the way for all those warm, mulled Christmas time drinks...Mmmm I can almost smell the cloves and cinnamon sticks!
So nice to see "photo by Giles" again :) Enjoy your time with everyone near. I treasure the days my "olders" are here at home--with four adults now, those times are priceless.
What a nice way to reconnect in the afternoon, always the time of day when a little respite is needed.
Welcome home, Giles! Enjoy your time at home!
Anna, I hope you are feeling better!
How wonderful to have all your children together again. The picture is lovely Giles.
I love the china - anything with flowers is my favorite!
Enjoy these precious days.
My daughter just came home from college for a week of vacation; I know just what an utter delight it is to say *four*, for those special afternoon times around the table! It's four for me again too. Enjoy these wonderful days. I love your blog.

Another inviting Giles photo! ...the cider looks so yummy...and such a beautiful presentation.
Anna, I love your blog and postings, in act the better part of today I was reading them, all the way back to Sept 2005. I feel a part of the family now, LOL
But I have seen your lovely children grow from kids to young adults. What an inspiring job you and the Composer have done with them. Anna, I have two questions to ask you that I couldn't gleen from your posts. You may not want us to know since you have never talked about the state you live in. I love mysterys and I think I may have this one figured out, I'm emailing you to ask. Thank you
for all the great sewing tips. I'll be back tomorrow and everyday.

Anna, I'm trying so hard to get you an email sent but it keeps coming back to me. DUH I know you are awfully busy but if you could send an email to me at lilahuggins@gmail.com I would then have your email address. I also want to buy several things in your etsy shop.
