Bella Auditions

Yesterday Bella sang her first auditions ever, for the soprano recitatives in The Messiah. "There were shepherds abiding" through "And suddenly there was with the angel", for those of you who know the piece.

Fireworks.

When she finished, the choir director said "You're twelve?" Then she looked sternly over her glasses at me. "Does anyone else know about this?" she demanded.

That's what I'm saying.

In other news, don't forget to check the shop for books and a girl's blouse! Here's why.

What a beautiful, talented Daughter you have and what a blessing that the Lord gave her to you! And what a greater blessing still that you gave her up the Lord and His hand is on her life.

By the way, a second (or third or whatever) the motion for an audio or video of her singing.

I got to sing those once! I was sixteen, though. Not twelve! I love The Messiah. My favorite is "How Beautiful are the Feet". Brilliant.

Wow! There are many three times Bella's age that have a hard time with those soprano recitatives - they are tough! Kudos to her for such courage to audition...she is such a talented young lady and such a blessing to your family! God's blessings to all of you!

Oh my goodness, Anna - how thrilling! I also wish you'd do a youtube thing, but it doesn't sound like the choir director necessarily wants to share this talent yet. :O And what a photo - Bella looks more mature suddenly.
