A New Green for Giles
Giles' one painted wall was apple green, which I've come to think is too harsh. I've re-done it in Benjamin Moore's Hibiscus. This color has got a lot to say. It wants to talk about yellow, about Bartlett pears and also avocados, and about light filtering down through the baby leaves of oaks.

I have to say that I did like the apple green but the Hibiscus is very nice as well. Soothing and mellow...
I like the apple green, too, but it's nice to have a change every so often, and this is a BEAUTIFUL color.
I love when colors have depth like that - then I'm not so quick to change them.

I had "hibiscus" hair once. It was purple. I wouldn't admit it at the time, would only call it "hibiscus," but it was most emphatically purple. Not what I was going for.
Giles' wall, on the other hand, is beautiful! If I wasn't still so enamored of my palest turquoise bedroom, I might consider that as its replacement.
Beautiful. I totally agree about the "Bartlett Pears" and "light filtering through baby leaves of oaks." Definitely. Made me smile, and dream of budding oak trees. Ours are a bit slow up here in MI.
