Mad Hungry: Feeding Men and Boys
Bella got Mad Hungry, by Lucinda Scala Quinn for Christmas. Score!
Perfect for Bella because of the gorgeous photography, straightforward writing, and most delicious food!! She's already planned all the menus for the week straight out of it. She's cooked four already and at this rate we'll have sampled every single recipe in the book by February. And be happier for it.
This cookbook gets *all* my stars.

All I have to say is, I NEED THAT BOOK TOO! :-)
Have you seen the author's show on Hallmark Channel? It's good too!
Perhaps Bella could blog about tackling this cookbook a la Julie and Julia. I am spending "A Year With Bettina" on my blog at http://hillsidecottage.blogspot.com starting in Jan. 2011. Bettina is a fictional character of two early 20th century novellas/cookbooks I own. They feature quaint tales about Bettina and her life and feature recipes she uses to please her husband and family.
Now that my shameless plug is over, in all seriousness, I would read Bella's blog about this book!
Thanks for the great suggestion! I just requested the book through my local library-surprisingly, it was available!
Doesn't Lucinda Scala Quinn work for Martha? The name sounds familiar. Anyway, I'll have to recommend this one to my boss here at the library.

I love her show on the Hallmark Channel, too. It's one of the few cooking shows where I would make almost any recipe she shares.
She is a producer for Martha. We started using the book last year. It would be a perfect gift for that newly married couple. Each section includes a 'home-ec' like section explaining cooking basics before sharing the awesome recipes. And they are awesome.
I can't wait to see how y'all rate the recipes. I've got my own houseful of males who will too-soon be Mad Hungry themselves.
oh that looks good. tried my library and they don't have it yet. will put it on my wish list.
I LOVE this cookbook! It was a gift from my hubby for my birthday. I watch her show on the Hallmark Channel. Fabulous food and fairly simple to make!
