Cake Lady: Carrot Cake


A particularly nice carrot cake recipe, with a little whole wheat flour in the batter and some lemon zest to brighten things up.

That sounds really nice. Carrot cakes are sturdy enough to carry off whole wheat flour and the lemon zest is a great idea. I must check out this book.

i made carrot cake for my son's 6th birthday (per his request) ... as he was overseeing the whole production, he gasped when i got our the carrots and began shredding veggies to put in his happy day cake!

...but it turned out beautiful and yummy.

Your cakes so make me wish that wheat and sugar were my best friens. Unfortunately they are my worst enemies. But your beautiful photos make me imagine all the yumminess of a delicious carrot cake.
