Here's a little progress report on my current jersey embellishment. As you see, I am going to town with beads, having finished the reverse-applique step.
That's lovely! Do you knot every so often to prevent loosing the beads, or handwash to prevent that problem? So often I see pretty garments in our thrifting adventure whose only fault is a few missing beads ...
Lisa, it's just a skirt. However, I was thinking about that ticking ballgown just last night! One of these days . . .
Heather, I don't do anything special to secure the beads, I just make sure I have a darn good knot at each end. My beaded garments have held up really well in the laundry--I turn them inside out and wash on delicate, usually in a bag.
