Enchanted Kingdom

This time of year my garden seems like my own enchanted kingdom.

I made the best decision ever when I planted lavender at the entrance. The bees don't mind when you brush past them.

Pole beans up and over the arbor. I'll pick the beans when they're just a quarter of an inch in diameter. They're planted in old piles of manure--the leaves are ten inches across.

The "black" hollyhocks are finally blooming. I didn't know what they'd look like. Gorgeous.

Everything's better with Sister, of course.

I believe I'm further north than you. My hydrangeas are just loaded with buds. Yours are beautiful. Also, thank you for sharing your son's wedding with your readers. It was delightful and beautiful. You have a lovely family!

Very nice but where oh where is Fitzwilliam? I have not seen or heard of him in way too long...

Sister looks like she is the queen of her domain.

Beautiful! My life's (gardening) goal was to have a hedge of hydrangea, but the oppressive sun in Texas made that impossible. Now we live near the Canadian border, where hydrangea are very happy! Mine are still covered in green buds, though--summer is not quite here yet!
