Christmas Wedding (Part Two)

These are just a few phone photos--we haven't seen the real ones yet.
We cleared out the living room and set up white chairs.

After the ceremony we struck all the chairs and set up tables for forty-five. We were blessed with lots of help to get this done, and had table settings and flowers waiting in another room.

We sent the bride and groom outside for a few pictures before we sat down to eat the *most* luscious shrimp and grits, fruit, biscuits, ham, greens, and cake.

A small wedding at home!!! I love this. I look forward to seeing more photos. Weddings at home are so rare, at least in my neck of the woods, and you're so fortunate to have a home that could accommodate one *in the winter.* My grandmother was married in the tiny church nearby, with a reception at home (in the farmhouse on our property), 70 years ago...& I've always thought that was so sweet and meaningful.

Bella, you are lovely.

The simple beauty of this just made me cry. Perfectly lovely.

May God's presence be their portion through all their days.

I was married at home too, in a gazebo in the back yard, June 25th. Weddings are such a precious family celebration, and home is one of the most sacred places on earth. God bless your family as it grows!

What a lovely bride and groom, and such a lovely wedding. I had a home wedding and reception as well, in my grandparent's home that had so many family memories - such a meaningful place to begin a marriage. You hosted a beautiful event; wishing you speedy recovery. ~~Kimberly
