Yes, I am finding the knitting to be addictive. I must confess to having pulled my project out of my purse in court today while waiting for my case to be called. I've worked past the rolled part of the brim only having had to rip out once!
I love the colors and the light in this photo. Anna, I try not to fret about ripping out, because then I have the pleasure of knitting it again. P.S. If you ever need help, try www.knittinghelp.com There are wonderful little videos of different stitches and techniques on this site.
What a beautiful site. I came across it. I have searched a little of your blog. It is so cozy. I have chosen you as one of my favorite blogs for this week. I will post your site on my blog with your permission this Friday. Chrissy www.mother-moments.blogspot.com
Knitting is so portable! Your hat is turning nicely, so far! I love that color (I have a project going in a very similar color, but nothing so fun as a hat!)
Anna, I am sure you have been asked before but I don't see a reply. What type of camera do you use? I am so impressed with the lighting and clarity of your photos!
Great job! It looks wonderful so far! I've only been knitting for a year myself. The only things I've made are dishcloths and a scarf. I'm really wanting to try something a bit more challenging, so I may give a hat a try. Off to the Lion Brand website to look for patterns!
Feel free to Pin my photos, but please link back to the page you found them on.
Photography
Photography is an important part of life at my house. Photos that appear here are taken by Giles, by the Composer, and by me. Giles is a real, paid photographer, and he uses a Sony Alpha. Most of the photography prior to September 2008 is his. Since then I have done most of the shooting and I use a Konica Minolta. Additionally, the Composer offers me nice shots on occasion, often from his little Canon point and shoot. I've given up trying to note who's done what. Thanks for your interest!

I find that circular needles are much more portable than straight. Less of a tendency for stitches to fall off and easier to tuck into your handbag.
It's turning out nice, Anna. And the color is pretty. Will you model the hat when you are finished with it?
Great job so far! Looks like you're having fun.
LOL, I thought the fact that you pulled out your knitting in court was so sweet.

Chrissy--
Of course! I'd be honored.
