We covered new thrifting territory this weekend, attending a family reunion, and Felix hit the jackpot with this inspirational piece for his dorm room wall!
He thinks it may be an early version of "Jesus Take the Wheel." Or Tiller. I love its innocence.
"He thinks it may be an early version of "Jesus Take the Wheel." " Made me smile. Great dorm room picture - so much more interesting than the standard dorm posters of a) basketball players, b) bands, or c) puppies (if you're female).
It's a copy of "Christ Our Pilot" by Warner Sallman, a Chicago artist from the 40's and 50's. I recognized it immediately, although couldn't remember the title. Love that he is putting it in his dorm!
Very nice, I will always remember your inspiring photo with the "change". Be the change you want to see in the world. I am so proud of our young people.
Like Peggy, this was hanging in the church where I grew up, so it really made me smile to see it. I *also* smiled at the Jesus Take the Wheel comment. :-)

Wow. Priceless. Love it!
That picture brings back memories. There was a copy of it hanging in the old original building of the church I grew up in. Thanks for the memories.

I found a website that said the artist is Warner Sallman and the title of the picture is "Christ our Pilot". What a find. I love it.
