Thirty Paper Dolls

These are Daisy's thirty paper dolls. They live together in a little fabric zip bag. There are sisters and brothers, husbands and wives, grandparents, and neighbors.

Some of them came from the same sheet of paper--like Harry, Jerry, and Terry. Others are singletons. Daisy curled up by the fire with them today. They engage her for hours.

Awwww. How sweet. Is your daughter interested in cutting out paper dolls? There's a lady named Terri Pettit who has scanned and put her paper doll collection on the web for printing. My daughter isn't old enough yet but I've got it bookmarked and waiting for future play.

One of my boys made cardboard soldiers like this. He literally has dozens of them, and he knows each one by name. :)

I love this.
What a wonderful way to engage the imagination - a community of 30 can have quite a lot going on!
Weddings, festivals, birthday celebrations, shopping, cooking, eating - I bet Daisy has created it all and more.

Those are just adorable! My daughter had a whole collection of paper dolls cut out of magazines that she played with for years. Imagination is a valuable commodity. She is now writing novels.

I love this! I am going to suggest something like this to my Finn during the cold wintry days of February this year.....
