Life feels pretty much back to normal (after holidays, polar vortices, and influenza). Speaking of the vortex, I made this wool skirt specifically for cold weather--but I overshot. Too much wool for me! It's gorgeous, though, and perfect for someone in a colder climate. Find it, and some other goodies I've been sewing, in the shop.
very feminine- sure to make someone warm and happy.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I am a plain Quaker, and this is very similar to what I wear daily (although not always in wool). Was the wool you used washable? If so, might you be willing to share where you found it?
ReplyDeleteKristen, I used a wool suiting from Vogue Fabrics (Evanston, IL). Technically, like most wool suitings, it isn't washable, but I always wash mine anyway in a cool gentle cycle, and dry them flat. As long as they get any shrinking out of the way before they're cut and sewn, it's so much better to be able to wash at home!
