A Woodland World in the City

The Holiday Train Show at the New York Botanical Garden combines three of my favorite things: nature, art deco conservatories, and G scale model trains.

The scale replicas of New York City buildings were jewels nestled into the hothouse plants. A truly enchanting afternoon.

I always loved how the tracks weave through the different rooms of the greenhouse. NYBG has been one of my favorite places since I was a child. Beautiful photos!

Beautiful, thank you for sharing. We have something similar at Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania.

A co-worker just went there before Christmas; she had a lot of pictures - a fabulous looking place!

Those buildings are charming!!! Definitely puts our 'train museum's' model buildings in their place--they are cute, but not enchanting.
