Clara's Knitted Parka

I finished today! Zipper sewn in, drawstring knitted and threaded through a casing, and all the buttons sewn on! I am glad to have it finished before everyone leaves for skiing--it looks so comfy for a road trip in cold weather. Next, a pale pink shrug for Bella, but not this week . . .

Hi Anna,
Can you share which pattern and yarn you used for Clara's sweater? I really try not to put bloggers on a pedestal, but I really think you are a class act! I live on Lake Norman, NC, homescool, have 7 children, 1 husband and am learning to play the violin with my 3 youngest children. I am in awe how quickly you complete your knitting projects! You and woolwindings.com seem to knit very quickly.
Blessings, Donna

Clara is one very blessed young lady - what a beautiful piece of hand work! I am sure she will enjoy it for years and it will be passed down carefully an kept for other special girls to enjoy! Lovely work Anna!

The sweater is beautiful. Good timing, too!

Donna, I used Debbie Bliss's "Meg" pattern from her book Junior Knits. I also used her cashmerino yarn in lavender. Good for you learning to play the violin! You all will have a quartet!

Thanks for reading,

Anna

Gorgeous! I dream of being able to knit like that. Right now I'm struggling through a *very simple* baby hat!

The sweater is so sweet. It is as beautiful as the wearer.

The parka looks very warm and snuggly. The best thing about finishing though is that you can start something else. What are you going to make?

Sorry, I just noticed you have already planned your next project. I should read more carefully.

Anna,
I love the sweeter. However, my daughter would have to learn this one, for she is the knitter, not I. My strong points are sewing and embroidery.
