Bella Sings

Enjoy this clip of Bella at a Messiah rehearsal--accompanied by what may be the world's Worst Community Orchestra. The poor girl had to fight for every note!

Anna - holy mackerel! Wowee! My mother used to point out to me certain sopranos whose voices seemed to "ring" - like bells within the voice - and this is what I hear in this tape. The gifts of God are amazing! You must be tickled! (Bella looks much younger here than in her "shawl" photo!) Congratulations, Bella!

Wow! Bella has such a beautiful voice! This is amazing!

Brava, Bella! Bellissima!

Linda said...

Wonderful! What a beautiful voice--clear as a bell and light without a hint of strain--just soaring over the top with a light prance--the kind of sorprano we hardly ever hear! Bravo, Bella!

Anna,
What a treat! Thanks for sharing this video of Bella. She sings so lovely and clear.
Brava!

Beautiful! How talented she is.

The world's worst community orchestra? Hey, I'm a member of that one. We must be neighbors.

Thank you for sharing. What a treat. I know for sure your blog is my sweet vacation. My family laughs because I tell them I am going on a little vacation (your blog) every night. Have a blessed day. Now back to the books... Leaving with a huge smile. :)

Thank you so much for posting this, Anna! Bella sings beautifully!!! From an earlier post, I had guessed that her voice was something extraordinary; but to hear the proof is delightful.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds for her!

Heather Anne said...

Wow! When you said months ago that we would be hearing of Bella some day you were not exaggerating in the least! What a beautiful gift God has given your precious girl! I can hardly wrap my mind around such a lovely voice in such a young girl! Oh the places she will go, the praises she will sing, and the blessing she will be to those of us who cannot carry a tune but admire those who can!

Anonymous said...

Wow!!!

That was amazing.

April said...

She has a gorgeous voice with a very unique color to it! Anna, I am a vocal coach and I'd suggest, if you have not already, that you find a coloratura soprano to teach Bella asap. I know she is young, but her voice is very developed for her age and training now with a GOOD teacher will only help.

Nikki @ Saving For A Rainy Day said...

That voice is a gift from the Lord!!!
Amazing!!!!

Bella is a treasure! Not only is this girl an amazing cook and talented with her knitting/crafts, she sings wonderfully.

Great balls of fire! She's amazing! She will be a wonderful operetta singer very soon. Congratulations Bella on all of your God given talents!

I remember when you told us she had started lessons.....and now she's here. So fun to see it growing....

Xenia Kathryn said...

What a treat, to be able to hear her sing! Thanks for sharing, Anna, and thanks for always bringing such beauty to the blogosphere. I don't know how you manage to have such a successful blog without buckling to all of the (ahem... tacky?) advertisements that every other popular blog seems to have. Thanks for staying true and making your readers feel like a valued audience.

She has a beautiful voice! (and that orchestra was pretty awful)

My goodness! You'd described her voice, but nothing could prepare me for such a lovely sound. A rare gift indeed.

Glorious. I can't believe she's so young!

I do believe she could do anything that she wanted with that voice. Extraordinary. I'm glad she's in a family that knows how to nurture their children and their talents.

Longtime listener, first-time caller.

Thanks for sharing; that was very, very nice-- and I've definitely heard worse orchestras. :-)

Wow! She is absolutely awesome!

Absolutely warming my heart on a freezing evening here in Florida! I am completely floored by Bella's voice. From your blog, each member of your family seems to have their own unique talents. Amazing. That voice is a pure gift from God. No, BELLA is a pure gift from God!

I expected Bella would have a beautiful voice, I didn't anticipate this. As a former high school teacher I can't help but think, 'thank goodness Bella is the daughter of parents who know how to mould talent and expect their children to strive for their best.' Brava Bella, brava.

She has an incredible voice, absolutely exquisite. And from what I can tell, a beautiful character to go with it.

WOW!!! I knew it was going to be good, but THIS...! Bella's sweet voice would rival any of the heavenly host! Thank you so much for sharing such a blessing!

Lindsey said...

wow! Bella has such a lovely, powerful voice. She did rather well against such....dissonance...lol

Clare said...

Oh. My. Word. What an incredible voice!!! I foresee a bright future in opera for this young lady. Outstanding!

Anonymous said...

Lovely voice indeed, with great potential - as another poster mentioned, coaching with a good coloratura soprano would be ideal. Pity about the orchestra, how Bella could manage to maintain pitch at all with that dissonance is testimony to her talent.

Sonja said...

Yay! Thank you for posting it. Such a treat to hear such a beautiful voice. I'm sure you'll pass on all of our encouragements to her. Yay, Bella!

Lucille said...

That is a beautiful instrument she has there. She looked so relaxed yet in command. I think she must have had a better orchestra playing in her head.

Stunningly beautiful. I'm picky about women's voices, but I LOVE Bella's.

Very lovely! Quite a voice for twelve :-) I think our community orchestra for Sound of Music probably rivaled this one in awful-ness... but kudos to Bella for working through the... pitch differences...

Rebecca Ann said...

You have said many times how Bella loved to sing and I said to myself she should post a video one day of her singing! And here is the video, yes Bella's voice is very clear and she does not strain for the notes which is a breath of fresh air. I am a vocalist myself and I am not a 1st soprano, but I am a 2nd and I have to strain for 1st notes. She did a great job with her range. God does give us wonderful gifts! I will be posting some videos of myself singing in the near future hopefully too.

Bonnie said...

OH. MY. GOODNESS. That is all I can think to say, she is incredible!
